Imaginary Pets is a series of sculptures based on characters that have appeared in my drawings and murals over the years. When translating them into ceramics, I am interested in preserving the spontaneity and graphic quality of the original drawings, while allowing volume, material, and the handmade process to transform them.

The textures are built gradually through repeated gestures and forms, without aiming for a completely uniform finish. Each character develops its own expression and personality, later reinforced with pastel slips and glossy glazes.

For the photographs of the series, I collaborated with Los Maridos Studio, who placed the sculptures in imaginary landscapes filled with clouds and nature. The images work as a continuation of the project, giving the characters a world of their own.

The title Imaginary Pets refers to all those animals that have accompanied me over time, both imagined and real.
