Group of sculptures inspired by characters that I’ve been painting on walls during these past years. I’ve started with bidimensional drawings and very simple doodles to allow me to find the volume of the piece, made with white clay, without controlling the final result. Specially noticed the repetitive tridimensional textures, which I work on, step by step, trying to avoid an industrial feeling. As one of my core elements, the feline faces fit each character, coloured with pastel engobes and glossy transparent glaze. To complete this series, once I’ve finished my pieces I’ve invited Los Maridos studio, to collaborate with me and take some pics of my sculptures. They added these fantasy dreamy backgrounds with lots of clouds and nature.
This series is called “Imaginary Pets” in honour of all those animals that have accompanied me even on a utopian level.
