Irina Slimobich (IRINO) is a ceramic artist and illustrator from Menorca, based in Barcelona. Inspired by nature and animals, especially felines, she develops sculptural pieces and collections of functional ceramics where characters, prints, and a playful aesthetic come together.
After several years working in the fashion industry, she decided to fully focus on her artistic practice and founded Irino Studio. Her background in print design continues to shape the visual identity of her pieces and characters.
Ceramics function as an expanded medium that goes beyond the object itself, continuing through photography, editorial design, and staging. Her projects develop visual narratives where humor, imagination, and a strong aesthetic identity coexist, questioning the boundaries between the functional, the sculptural, and the scenographic.
These collaborations have led to projects such as Imaginary Pets and Cat Nip Party, as well as images for fanzines, posters, and postcards.
Alongside her sculptural work, she develops small collections of functional ceramics and takes part in fairs, exhibitions, and pop-ups. Her work has been presented at Taipei Art Book Fair, Libros Mutantes, and I Never Read Art Book Fair in Basel.
Actualmente trabaja desde su estudio en Poblenou, Barcelona, donde desarrolla su obra e imparte clases de cerámica.
