Cat Nip Party is a series of ceramic sculptures and functional pieces built around a group of recurring characters gathered for a psychedelic picnic. After getting a little too carried away with the catnip, the party starts to shift into something more surreal: cats turn into mushrooms, frogs scream, caterpillars wear tiny hats, and the whole scene begins to feel slightly out of control.

The project plays with that moment when everything familiar starts to look a little strange. The characters keep their playful expressions and pastel colors, while the atmosphere becomes increasingly dreamlike as the party unfolds.

For the photographs of the series, I collaborated with Los Maridos Studio, who placed the pieces within artificial landscapes that push the party into a more dreamlike space.

Cat Nip Party was first presented at La Crema Concept Store in Barcelona, before travelling to Taiwan, where the project was shown through different pop-ups and at Taipei Art Book Fair.
